A plea made by the State of Kentucky to Congress to reimburse Kentucky citizens for providing horses during the War of 1812. The author of this plea cites several cases and different years in which private citizens of Kentucky furnished their horses for mounted soldiers in the "Northwest" and other regions. The State of Kentucky requests that the federal government reimburse these citizens for the loss of their horses during the war.
